Silvanet Suite

Silvanet Cloud platform
Sensors are connected via a multi-hop mesh network of gateways and share the collected data with the Silvanet Cloud platform, which works as an information hub and sends automated alerts in case of the detection of a wildfire.
Messages sent from the Silvanet Cloud to Border Gateways use the mesh network to simultaneously perform software updates on all sensors.

Site Management app

A Site is a geographical area where a Silvanet network of sensors and gateways are deployed to monitor the forest. Dryad developed the Site Management app that displays all Sites that Dryad has created and administered for you. You use it to plan deployments of devices for a Silvanet Site and to monitor the status of the sensors in the site.

The dryad app is connected to the Silvanet Cloud which receives data from the sensors via Mesh Gateways and Border Gateways. This data is then displayed in the Site Management app.

For example, if a sensor detects a smouldering fire, the app displays Fire Alert warnings which identify the location of the sensor(s) that detected the fire.

The Site Management dashboard provides access to three view options: a Sites view, a Maps view and a Devices view.

Sites view

The Sites View displays all Sites that a user has rights to administer and manage. Clicking the name of a Site opens the Site Dashboard.

The Site dashboard allows a user to drill down and view the current readings from a sensor, including Air Pressure, Temperature, Humidity and Air Quality. It also shows the current charge of the sensor battery.

Maps view

The Map View provides a convenient view for selecting sites. If many sites are managed, this allows for a quick selection of the site based on a map location.

The Map view also provides an overlay of temperatures sourced from Google Maps, showing areas of higher fire risk levels

Device view

The Device View provides a quick search function for specific sensors or gateways using the device ID. Searches can be filtered by device or by the site.

Clicking a sensor displays in a sidebar the current data from the sensor. You can select a data time range showing values over 5, 7, 12 or a 24-hour timescale.

Fire alarm notifications

If a sensor in the Silvanet Network detects a fire, a fire alert notification email is immediately sent to registered users of the Site. Within the Site Management app, a flashing Fire alert icon warns the registered user of a fire.

Clicking the flashing Fire alert opens the Alert Centre which lists the sensors that have detected a fire.

Clicking the Fire icon next to a sensor ID opens a Details view which provides detailed information about the data, time and location of the detected fire.
